Harbor Freight: Bike Stands

For you bikers on here that don’t frequent sportriders.org

HF Rear stand for 40$

Front stand adapter for 10$

The reviews i’ve read seem to reflect decent quality, and damn that price can’t be beat. I’m looking to pick one up soon.

250 Ninja in that pic =P

Not a bad deal, I wonder how solid they actually are tho

That was my main concern when looking at them. I did some research and it seems as if they are decent. Next time I am near an HF I will stop in and take a look. $40 is hard to beat

until you come home and your bike is laying on the ground.

:picard: Silly chinese stuff. I’ll report back with quality when I take a look.

I think there is a 20% off coupon floating around too…

lol.

too bad i have a single sided swingarm in the rear.

Also found this.

Testimonials on aluminum stand. Page 3

That stand seems to be quite a bit beefier. A set of t-rex stands can be had for around 120, and have been around longer and I know from experience that they work well and are very solid

I hate ieatpaints front trex stand…

triple tree/ top clamp stands > fork tubes

Ya i just bought a paddock stand, much easier than the fork one. Haven’t heard much about the HF ones though.

i never had any problems with it fwiw. you can buy the front triple tree paddock stand from trex on ebay for 105$. I might grab that one and the second aluminum HF rear stand. save $10 or so from the trex set.

lol, thats because you’re gentle with your bike when its lifted in the air, when the fork holders are inverted it hold ups just fine (for cleaning) but you cant remove the axels when they are upside down…

the harbor freight ones are locked in the upright position so i dont think that it would be a problem though.

Any update on this?

Haven’t even had a chance to look at any… what do you mean by update anyway?

Just go to HF and see how they look…LOL

I live about 45 minutes away from one so it’s hard for me to get there.

called harbor freight on union and the one in amherst, neither store has either stand in stock FYI

word. I’ll most likely order one online in the next month or so. I am in no rush what-so-ever.

im thinking of picking up the aluminum one. if i do i will report back with a review.

mine should be here this week.

what is the point of these stands? maintenance or do you actually run the bikes on these stands?

wat:bloated:
