I’m starting to explore more cost effective alternatives to move all of our shit to NC next month. I can either pay movers to rent space on a semi or rent a u-haul-it truck, or I can just buy a van or buy/borrow/rent a trailer, load it up with all of our stuff, drive it down there, and dump it back off. So basically I need something that will make it from here to NC, just once, pretty much guaranteed. The less $$ I have to hang out there the better too (obviously) but the priority is it definitely has to be reliable. Something not a complete and utter shitwagon would be good too as I will need to sell it when we get down there

anyone?

EDIT: forgot to mention if anyone on here goes to auctions and wants to make a couple bucks quick and easy, let me know next time you’re going

Why buy a van when you can have a pack and go company ship your stuff for less than a grand?

Figure insurance, plates, registration on the new vehicle unless you have dealer tags.

its not so much a price range thing, its a matter of 1. I’d like to have as little tied up in this as possible because that leaves me free to deal with other important things and 2. if I can find a sick deal on something because the seller is desperate to dump off cause they need cash bad or auction or whatever, use it to move all of our stuff down there, then sell the van back off ideally for what I paid for it or more, then all the better. Id much rather make a couple bucks than give it away to someone else for doing the same work

And anyways I dunno who you’ve been getting quotes from, but less than a grand is more like 3-4 grand even at $0.18/lb. Don’t forget we’re not talking about a 1bdrm apt or dorm here, we have an entire house full of shit to move

1999 Ford E-150 Tuscany Motor Coach…Baller! $2300 171,000 miles 5.4L V*, all electrical work even A/C lol Runs amazing gets about 13mpg on highway gets me about 400 miles out of a full tank…tank is 30 gallon i believe. Runs strong has a some steering wheel shakes, ill be checking whats wrong with it this up coming week hopefull.

Has a 5 ton towing rating :slight_smile: has a hitch already setup

there is an older dodge van just south of Albion on rt 98… like $1800 ish I believe
