If anyone is seriously interested, I can post up a full mod list and more pics. Last week I just put drilled and slotted oversized rotors on, new KYB rear shocks and I have a 3" cutout sitting in my room to go on…and I have RK Sport lowering springs on the way…Also, I can throw in my laptop with HP tuners 2.2 with it, so you can tune it…for a little bit more money. car body has 115K on it. Car is a 98 with a 2000 motor with a 98 intake manifold and throttle body for easier tuning. Motor has 32K on it and I have all the paper work that was done at the shop to this car…car runs like a champ and never had a single problem with it besides the tranny. Tranny needs to be rebuilt stronger (No a stock Z28 tranny WILL NOT hold up seeing as the A4 v6 trannys are the same as the LS1)…you will need to have atleast a Stage 2 tranny built. Reason why I want to get rid of the car is only to get a C5 and Do a single turbo setup on it, or a last Gen Supra. Car went 13.6 @ 106 with a slipping tranny and real weak tune with the Old turbo (masterpower t70)…New turbonetics ball bearing turbo only has 4K on it…car is no joke. If someone wants a car that sticks out from the crowd and is a runner, this will do more then suit your needs. With a rebuilt tranny, shift kit, and a 3800 torque converter, car will go mid, high 12’s all day long on street tires…I have invested over 20 grand into this car from the turbo kit, to the rear end…and to the appearence and stereo system. Car got 5th place in the Wild Class at the car show (highest class their is)…car is for sure a head turner…if anyone wants anymore information, I will be glad to let you know anything you want. Overall, As the car sits right now I would like to get 8 Grand for it…but if their are things you dont want (rims, hood, stereo system etc) I will keep bumping down the price.
Also, their is a Methanol kit (snow performance stage 2 boost cooler) That I just installed but havent tuned, or used it yet…with the methanol and adding more timing I could easily add 40 more rwhp to this car
It would have to be a very specific neiche to sell in a market, even on ebay.
Modded cars are a tough sell to begin with, especially a car that’s been modded in a unique or uncommon way just scares people off.
Plus you would actually make more money by parting it out and getting it back to stock as much as possible, even though it would take more time and effort.
HA!!! That was alot of mods ago…that was on 10psi with my old masterpower t70 with a higher geared rear end (3.73’s which SUCKED for a turbo)…different turbo design etc…I would LOVE to race that car now…it would be a whole different story ;)…that kid was a deushbag anyways…mommy and daddy paid for everything, then he gets busted in a big drug deal. Cool kid.
No offense at all, but I couldn’t think of anyone this side of the globe that would want a turbo V6 Camaro. Especially modded so heavily. Best bet is eBay and modified car trader w/e it is.
Parting it out is also a decent route as long as you have a lot of the stock parts.
I have every stock part, down to the front grill, exhaust manifolds and stock Y pipe…problem is it would take a week straight to put it back in stock form…
Honestly, I Would like to sell the car as it sits, since I created it…I would like someone to carry on my project since I designed and built the turbo kit by myself. They do not make a turbo kit for this car. Only superchargers.
maybe this is the wrong forum to post this up forsale?? 75% of this site is import based.
It most likely won’t sell here, but since it’s free it definitely dosn’t hurt to post it.
You’d be on the right track if you listed it everywhere possible, including this site, wantaddigest, craigslist, autotrader, cars.com, monkey ads.com, albanyunderground, any and all camaro forums, etc.
It doesn’t matter how we’re based. I can’t think of any Chevy owner that wants anything smaller than a 350 under the hood. THE BEST possible thing you could do is revert it back to stock and then selling everything available for it.
Actually if you know “Jazz” from the lot with the purple early 90’s turbo v6 camaro, who also had a TTA(Turbo Trans Am) which is a turbo v6…there’s a huge chunk of Chevy owners that would love a Grand National/TTA swapped Camaro or T/A…but ofcourse those are way different than Boostin’s turbo v6.
IN a way, they are way different, and in another way they arent…Technically…My turbo 3.8 is just a new day and age GN…only different motor wise are the internals on the GN 3.8 are a little bit stronger…block, crank are the same and believe it or not, my stock 3.8 heads have a better flow rating then the GN’s, but they have a better cam
Its def original but a heads cam ls1 would walk it all day long. My buddies ws6 with 4:10s and exhaust went 12.4 so that shows the brutal potential of an ls1. Throw it on ls1tech and see what kind of bites you get
