Chevy Captiva arrived today

First one I have seen arrive although I know many have been sold but we direct shipped them. Seems no different than a Vue other than the badges and “fleet only” availability. This one has a cage that looks like it is for a municipal employee that needs to carry some equipment but nothing too big. Maybe code enforcement, town building inspector or something like it. This might be a dangerous question for the NYSPEED crew but … thoughts?

Seat folded down.

Seat up.

Guy I work with had one of these as a rental car about a month ago. Took me by surprise because I had never seen one before and wasn’t aware that it was a car/suv that Chevy was selling.

Saturn is back!

^^Beat me to it…

Spotted one of these with Canadian plates on it, thought it was one of those Canada-only vehicles.

I like that slider system in the back.

That slider system with cage could come in quite handy for unruley first dates.

Tim G had one down in Florida for a wedding we were both in so I have riden in one and very neutral on it. Not sure why the vehicle was needed unless they had a contract to build x number of them and they are fulfilling the contract.

This is a short wheel base theta and the Equinox is the long? Is the size difference that noticable? I assume gas mileage and towing is about the same. Is price that much cheaper?

First thought that came to my mind.

Juat?

Oh wow. At least they removed the pin stripe

Yep… it’s a Saturn.

Another fun example:

The refreshed 2013 Acadia liftgate glass, spoiler, rear quarter panel and rear side glass are all sourced from the Outlook.

For reference what the prior GMC looked like

Hey, it will surely fool enough people to buy them.

I had a Buick Enclave rental for the past two days. It road nice, had a nice interior and was boring as hell lol. Target market hit.

oh another uplander-trail-acaida-envoy-terrain-blazer.

What a blur of crap.

I actually really enjoy the interior of the enclave. seats are amazing, also thought it drove great.

Wow I thought that people were buying kits to slap a chevy logo and name on it. Oh wait, that’s been GM’s plan and solution for years

fleet only sales! Reading comprehension not so high. In theory cheap to fix and no one cares when it gets a dent.
