Chevy has its first Recall for Camaro...

Good thing it’s overly serious, but that was FAST.

meh its a fucking battery cable. poor planning ? maybe. kill sales? doubtful

problem is that with this whole “Big 3 bailout” thing, a lot of the buzz we are hearing about is that they are failing because of build quality and reliability. So it is really hurting their case on that aspect of things.

They’ll be fine so long as the media doesn’t get ahold of it.

Well…that didn’t take long.

ehh at least it’s very minor but I don’t see how it was missed if it only took 40miles. I mean think of all the magazine companys that did roads tests I’m sure they drove more then 40miles.

I forgot the article I read well it was “camaro vs challenger mustang”. The ford mustangs trunk didint line up and the driveside window all the way closed wasn’t lined up and was making a whistling noise…

I can’t believe I’m the first to say it:

At least the tranny held.

Hardly a major deal to me…

It’s not a big deal.

More like a couple of grains of salt in an open wound.

What about the bumpers that are cracking?

Yeah I’d be more worried about this:

Now that is funny

Didn’t bother to read the text in the link?

:picard:

Did you miss the update in the post:

I’ve been away from the computer most of the day. During that time, I’ve been informed that the nose on this particular Camaro was a super early production piece, slapped on to get it out the door sooner. GM already knows about the issue, and supposedly it has been taken care of on other cars. Something about a support not being bolted correctly, it wasn’t clear what the solution was without seeing the car in front of me.

ugh Viper966fail…

i mean damnit:roflpicard:

atleast GM is consistant at one thing.

screwing up good cars

No one posted about the brake weights yet?

Recall?

:fu:

Since when has GM had tranny issues?

“These weights will only be added to early builds of the Camaro SS.”

That would piss me off if I bought one.

I could use some of those for my sti though…:roflpicard:

If there was such little leeway between this wire and whatever metal surface it rubbed against that it failed within 40 miles, how on earth could have GMs test cars passed.
