what have you seen, that you and your wife have liked so far, shopping?
If I keep the Cobra, then I have to put a spending cap, at right around $27,000.
if I get rid of it, then $55,000-$60,000

hardly
why would you drive a 50k car 800 miles a week just buy a cobalt or something and keep the stang
why would you buy a $500,000 if you’re in it a lot. Same reason why you’d buy a nice car. If you’re going to be in it a lot, may as well enjoy it.
we’ve looked in the $30-$38K range with enough space for two kids, a friend, and junk - i don’t think that’s your same criteria!
for a single guy, how about a G35?
G35 is nice, but its over $28,000, and definitely not worth getting rid of my Cobra for.
if I find a used one, then definitely would consider it
800+ ???
I do atleast 650 a week, where the heck you go?
My boss just bought a used 2004 CTS-V with 2200 miles on it for 38k. Beautiful car. Powerful as hell. Rides real nice. Wheel hops like a bitch even with the BMR traction kit we installed. B&B exhaust sounds great for a thousand dollar exhaust. GM got 13.2 out of them but no-one else seems to be able to. and finally-most definatly NOT a winter car. Traction is shit even with TC turned on and F1’s. He drove it one day in light snow then parked it.
Get a cheaper car for commuting and keep the Cobra.
Stay with the Cobra! you already have alot of stuff done with it like Violator said go buy a cheaper car to drive around in.
27K? thats fucking easy.
2003 Lexus ES300
22K miles, Certified Pre-Owned 3.0L 210hp
2001 GS300 50K miles Auto Climate control, leather, walnut door trim…
If i had to be in a car for 800+ miles a week, it would be in a Lexus. without a fucking doubt. If you’re gonna be putting that many miles on it (40,000 a year) its retarded to buy new. That car will lose 2/3 of its value in 3 years with 120K miles on it. 2/3 of 50,000 is a lot more than 2/3 of $27,000.
duhhhh his parents basement
umm… I find it funny, how someone I’ve met a handful of times, has the balls to talk shit on me.
You seem real quiet and scared, when I’m around you in person. Stop talking shit, this is your final warning.
Have an issue get a tissue
Wow! Mike so beat me to it. I’ve been lookin’ at GS’s myself for a DD. You can get a nice GS300 for waaaaaaaaaay under 27k. $20k will get you a nice GS300 w/ pretty low miles (my buddy is a Master Lexus Tech. and sees 'em w/ over 200k all the time, so don’t worry about 60-70k or so). Way comfy, pimp w/ some 19"s, pretty decent mileage (no reason to get the 400/430 since you already have a way faster V8 car).
Not that I don’t love the CTS-V. But it’d suck to rack up that kinda mileage on that car.

werd. Got to see so many interiors when valeting up a the country club. Lexus interiors are so much nicer than the Euros. I hope to get one once the Maxima hits 150-160K or so, depending of course on funds at the time.
you can’t compare the two in my book…
cobra is a 2 door sportscar/muscle car & the CTS-V is a 4dr sports sedan.
depends on what you need, space, luxo amenities, etc…
personally i’d take the CTS-V any day over a cobra, but thats just me…
10 second cobra and a cheap daily driver > 13 second daily driver as your only car
cheap daily driver will probably get better MPG, you won’t care if someone does a burnout and throws rocks all over your car , insurance will be cheaper because the sports car will not be the daily driver anymore, you can devote more money to the race car, etc…
good point…
if its one for one…i’d take the caddy, but if its $ i’d take the 50K & get a couple cars instead of the caddy
if he doesnt get rid of the Cobra, he says he will have $27,000 for his idea of a “cheap” daily driver. Im pretty sure he could find something in that price range that wouldnt be too shabby to log 45K a year in. Shit I love my Maxima with its 128K miles. $6,500 leather, power everything, digital auto climate control, Bose stereo, moonroof… the car is built like a brick shithouse. rock solid. Feels like a brand new car. If one planned of getting a car to rack 40K miles/yr in, the best choice would be a Neon/Cavalier with about 80K. Of course, I wouldnt be caught dead in a Cavalier or Neon, so a used Lexus for around $15,000 would be about perfect. After 2 years with 80K more miles on it, whatever you have is gonna lose about 2/3 of its value so it makes no sense to spend a lot of money on it. Buy car for $15K and take the other 12K and put some of it into the cobra and the rest in a CD or a mutual fund or something.
