I heard I can just take it to a dealership and the manager might be able to look up the code for me.
A friend of mine gave me his OEM CD player a couple years ago and that car is now long gone. I finally got around to putting it in my hatch, now I just need to get it unlocked.
Will a sales manager do this or can someone that works at a Honda dealership help me out?
dealerships will do it but they will charge you

Yeah, I checked there to see if there was some universal code to unlock it but they said to have someone at Honda look it up for me, which they charge for. It’s no big deal, I got the headunit for free so I don’t mind paying.
I was hoping someone on here might work for Honda and could help me out.

when i sold my integra, i kept the oem cd player and when i wanted to put it in a hatch, all i did was call an acura dealer and tell them that i put a new battery in my car and i can’t find my code. they’ll ask you for a serial number on the cd player… which shouldn’t be hard to get if you have it sitting out. and then they gave me my code. twice i’ve done it over the phone. the ironic thing is, you could just steal one and do the same thing… :blah:
