Computer starts on wrong settings.

Hi well i dont know how this happened and its hard to explain so i provided pictures. It started doing this after I restored it to factory settings like the day i bought it, i used F10 i believe it was to restore it.

I want to be able to just turn my computer on and walk away while it loads.

Instead i have to wait for the Compaq Logo screen to go away to move onto this screen in which i must hit the arrow key up because it starts off selecting the wrong setup like in the first picture.

If i dont sit and wait it then has an error like in this picture.

So if there is a way to make my computer start off like in this picture

please show me how to fix it!

Such a minor thing but its been doing this now for 2 months straight and its annoying because my computer is slow. I have hit F8 and tried to mess with the options but i really cant figure it out. So if someone has ran into this problem and has solved it please assist me. Thanks!

You’re talking about removing the operating system choice??

Right Click on My computer
Select properties
Select Advanced tab
Under Startup and recovery click settings
Click the Edit but and remove the one you don’t want.

If you want to leave both there is a menu that lets you pick which operating system is the default in the startup recovery tab.

I just needed to switch the default operating system it starts on. I didnt think it would be that easy
