not to detract from their coolness (they -are- cool as hell), but if you were walking down the sidewalk you wouldn’t necessarily see it from the same perspective and it wouldnt look as convincing

I thought about what you said and since it’s on one surface it is especially not like the engineered photos. Simply, our mind will be able to orient itself if we look at this upside down, though the effect will not be in its fullest our depth perception will still be fooled.
