so the place that replaced my tranny is called swedish motors, and in fact, they work on swedish motors.
…however the mechanics there enjoy american v8 power as much as any other god-fearing wanna-be gansta american alive on this earth. basically its something :snky: shoehorned into something :ohnoes: and engine shots will be up later this week. (he doesnt like talking about/showing off his car at work in front of his boss)
…without further ado, TO THE PICTURES!
^^not very awe inspiring, but not all great minds think alike
^^not too much going on in the interior, except for the lack of transmission
^^never seen a volvo like this before?
^^hmmm, orlly??
and i like the look of the front a lot…more pictures will be up friday
the only thing that saddens me is his tran. just locked on friday night and it was only alive for about 100 miles. so i dont get to see it run or hear it or ride in it until i get back. but when i do, more pics/vids. too
oh almost forgot, this picture is just a quick/terrible shot of the exhaust, his exhaust fabricator is unbelievable, you will seriously love this engine bay and the fabrication involved in it. engine/drivetrain details will also follow
that is hand built exhaust. i will get a better picture of it on friday.
Personally, I think it looks like shit. The front end is riced out, the wheels DO NOT flow with that car and the exhaust is crooked as all hell. I dont care if it’s got an LSx in it or not.
like i said not all great minds think alike. i like how different it is. and tho it is not a perfected show car, but it is a different, soon to be street monster…
…i dont like the color or quite how the headlights sit in the front, but i do like his creativity and uniqueness. hes not going to win best of shows, but he will win a lot of races and a lot of respect when it is out lurking the streets
and yea he already had a silver 5.0 powered wagon, but wanted something a little more unique and quite a bit more power.
people have been doing 5.0 swaps and SBC swaps into them for YEARS. theres a kid that lives down the street from me whos doing one now. trust me, volvos suck.
That car has a twin turbo LS1/6 Vette motor under the hood. It was the car I was going to base my 740 turbo wagon swap on. The fabrication was done at a shop down in Harrisburg, PA and I think the car is from around there as well. Should be nice when finished.
ummm, let me jsut say. it is a central penna. car that will rock many a socks, HOWEVER, the thing i am most impressed with is all the fabrication that was used on this car… it is simply put an amazing engine bay. simply amazing.
I’d deffinitly go for the sleeper look with a car like that though (atleast tuck the exhaust under the car… maybe even run a fake 2" turndown pipe out the back ). Doesnt look too bad, but I’m not digging the exhaust/wheels/headlights
I’ll agree on the exhaust, but the headlights are stock, and wheels are from a 850 R i belive. not that bad of a choice, you really cant put a aftermarket wheel on a old volvo and think it looks good. its all about rocking the old 240 turbo wheels painted<—it looks amazing.
