I told you. $1000 installed and you’d have a setup like mine. I’ll even mold it in custom so it looks like it’s factory and you have a nice 6.5" stationary LCD touch screen. TV/DVD/GPS/MPS/AVI/DIVX everything.

Not that I don’t think carputers are great, I feel that they have their place.
They take forever to start up, take a lot of bulk and additional space and don’t like tight areas that see a lot of heat.
This install was simple. For a DIY this 1G is not cheap, but I’ll do all the installation and make the molding to make it look factory.
I have lots more to go, but I was doing this in a rush Sunday morning at 6:30am for a total of 1 hour. I was trying to get it ready in time for Zfest
It’s still rough and looks way better in person but I just haven’t had any time to finish it up. I’ll do it prolly next weekend.

the carputer stuff and stripped windows boots super fast(10seconds…ish)
they can go in for super cheap too if you DIY like YOU CAN.
its worth looking into again.
BUT
your setup will do things a carputer wont…without some $$$
so its a give and take
give me lots of $$, i’ll take it…lol
edit: some of the new stuff will fit a double din size hole…and the new chips are waaaay cooler too
