Cross compatible parts?

Hi

New user here. I’ve heard that, thanks to the cookie cutter method of making cars nissan is so famous for, some suspension/drivetrain parts are direct bolt-on for a 240. I’m interested in the S13 mainly, as it’s the version i’m looking at, but I was wondering, what exactly is compatible? Which parts are direct bolt-on and which require other parts to work? As most of you also know, various engines fit in the engine bay, but other than that which parts can I raid my favorite junkyards (and JDM sources) for?

you can pretty much put almost any front engine rwd that you want into it.

the most valuble ones to find in a junkyard is a 300zx or a q45

Are you talking about the engines or the suspension? Do you mean I could take the suspension from, say, a skyline GTS-T and put it under an S13?

Thanks. I’m really interested in knowing what i can swap in for cheap. It’s a huge part of why I can justify buying a 240, because all of the suspension mods i’d want to do would be relatively easy to source and relatively inexpensive. I want to build a car that will start every day, while being able to hold it’s own on backroads. I dont want a drift machine, I dont want a drag car, I want cheap, RWD fun.

yeah pick up a cheap skyline suspension and brake setup and swap it in.

Thanks, that’s pretty much all i wanted to know. I’ve got a connection to some skyline parts…still trying to justify the purchase. Bloody school takes so much cash, woulda had three 240’s by now…
