He tuned the LS1 swap Z and that runs good.

Neither one of us can get off the line and we both spin down track. If I hit it right I can break 4th loose at the valley and I’ve done it on the street a couple times :wtf (on a closed track… in mexico :ninja)

Doesn’t matter if it’s set up for road racing…the motor swap the car has should be able to perform well in a straight line, you don’t de-tune a motor because it’s for road racing

Lol @ 4th gear burnouts? My car will only do a rolling 1st gear burnout on dry pavement. Something to do with automatic + 2.73s in the rear.
wouldnt call it a “burn out”…1st gear is useless to me even from a 35mph roll…2nd, if im lucky wont break sideways…3rd is a good hook…shift to 4th fast enough and I feel the tires (and hear them) break loose about a rotation.

Yeah, his car is tuned for road racing/autoX. He had Howard run the car a tick or two rich up top for running high rpms for extended periods of time.
He probably should have adjusted the suspension to go drag racing too. The car has IRS so it squats hard on launch and is trying to get traction with the inside edge of his tires like my car.
Still I hear ya me and him should both be trapping higher. I guess it’s the spinning down track that kills the trap?
spinning down the track no traction will result in a lousy ET. for example, i ran a 14.1 @ 104… the 104 trap is good for low-mid 13’s.
I had my car break loose going up 890 I hit 4th at 75 (on dry pavement) and it tried to go sideways on me! I wasn’t expecting that. As far as the tune for you Boosted some people, like Big Red have had good “luck” with the tunes he does.
