Tom, I think this dood was trying to say that this car is not real, but rather is a rendered 3D model…based on the fact that the colors CTN used can be loosely related to what some CAD programs look like when assembling geometry. The image of the disassembled engine on the floor would have just been icing on the cake.
My thought…it was a pretty lame joke.

He saying the colors he used are default colors for assemblies in many cad programs. The black floor would have been like the background, with the coordinate axis. It would have looked like what happens when you first import everything into an assemblies file. He never stated it wasn’t really, he just said newman was a geek.
