so u slide the things down the ice and get them to land in the nipples right.
Yep, it’s kinda like shuffle board but way harder.
It’s pretty boring to watch, but fun as hell when you’re playing, kinda like banging your mom.
ooo gotcha…
is this with the brushes to make it go a certain direction?
HOLY SHIT I AM PUMPED! Anyone up for starting a roch league?
I might go to roch on a sun mon or tuesday if anyone is interested.Always wanted to try that
Def interested, but I didnt see any times on their site for open play
doubt it, ice has to be pretty extremely flat and well groomed
hahah… best of all the original post was not even edited.
In for curling team
the fact that there are drinking rules has me interested, not gonna lie.
I am in for this!
i really want to do this
The ice is actually textured and there’d be no way to replicate how they do it without expensive equipment. They evenly distribute small droplets of hot water on top of the ice which quickly freezes, then they shave it down with some kind of planeing machine. With the rubber ice grippers you slip on over your shoes, you can barely get a good slide going when trying.
As for open play, you can’t just show up and play like you would go bowling. You have to rent it out and have a minimum or 16 people, I believe. Anyone who wants to go, do it soon. They won’t be open for much longer. I’m not sure about the one in Canada, though.
The canada one is open all year long. Just too bad its in canada.
I have been to the one in Welland… make sure you can understand french
The best part of the one in Roch are the $10 pitchers of Yuengling B & Tan, and they don’t except tips.
Didn’t know the one in Ca is open all year round, but yeah, it’s in Canada.
damn 16 people minimum huh
i’ve actually never gone but friends have and they love it (mainly for drinking)
I believe so. It’s not too bad though; you have 2 teams per lane, 4 people per team, so it’s only 2 lanes. When I went, we had 3 lanes.
i will def try and get this together
