How much is it to get a custom plate? and is there a yearly fee because people keep telling me different things.

You can search for a special plate number to put on your Empire State plate or custom plate. There is an initial fee of $43.00 for personalized plates, with an annual fee of $25.00. Order on-line, or call 1-518-402-4838 to order by telephone.

Personalized Empire plates are $43 for passenger and commercial vehicles, with an annual fee of $25. Motorcycle plates are $25.50 initially, with an annual fee of $15. This fee is in addition to your vehicle registration fee.
