Custom twin turbo kits

awesome work

Thats awesome.does it plan on seeing the track this year?

I’m assuming your refering to the TA on account of you sig. I doubt that It will get to the track anytime soon. The owner isn’t much of a drag racer. He prefers having a more powerfull car than anyone next to him at the street light.

quik tuned

Not so much.

He offered his assistance a time or two, but untill today after I had a couple of phone conversations with HP we had nothing. I would not have reservations about him assisting us in roughing in a safe drivable tune till it gets to the dyno though.

what does a job like that cost? if you dont mind me asking

I don’t mind you asking, but thats a little to vague to answer.

well i mean, the fabrication costs of all the piping for twins, just like how u did that trans am. Assuming you had turbo manifolds and turbos mounted, any estimates on labor and material costs on that piping work to get it done and working?

No

We’re charging $50 an hour plus materials. Each stainless section for the log style headers is about $8, and flanges are around $30. If we do the entire job, starting with fabrication down to the finish installation and working all the bugs out, jobs like the two LS motors get over $10,000.

I can see that job taking some time. that is some topnotch work. thanks for the pricing quote. i really want to do a small twin setup on my car…just like the old twin turbo callaway vettes

Trans am dyno sheet.

The spike is from a tach signal interuption

On 15lbs of boost, we made one pull to 4500 rpms, and the car made 712rwhp/769rwtq… however, we had to cut the run off at that rpm b/c we were running out of fuel… when the other 255 gets in there, it will easily be able to support this boost level… We’re guessing that, if let run to redline, the HP number would have been in the area of 780rwhp… So, we pulled back the boost and tuned went for my goal…

On 13lbs of boost, and ONLY 13* of WOT timing, the car made 692rwhp and 702rwtq… The jump in the graph is where the dyno lost the tach signal… (for reference, most guys wiht setups like this are running about 17 or 18* of timing)

wow nice!

can you twin turbo my peon?

im interested in a big snail like gt40 sized turbo, headers would be already done just need some minor welding to mount the turbo (under the car) and weld up intercooler piping. LMK

Let you know what?

if you can do the welding/pipe routing, make oil/coolant lines sorry i should have specified.

Is that a rhetorical question? Certianly you know our capabilities.

yes :stuck_out_tongue:

actually i dunno wtf i was thinking when I made that post haha.

Thanks for sharing this twin turbo project on the forums,
I would also love to see updates on your daytona as it nears compleation, and when the daytona IS finished, can we expect to see it at the track?

You can probably expect to never see the dirty D run. I do not have time to finish it. Well, I wouldn’t say never…
