i thnink i just came in my pants, no wait i did

$$$$$$

ya i’d love to get that, too bad i wouldnt have money for it for like 2 years:(

very nice

that price isnt even that bad for going from n/A to turbo. you guys should see the prices ive been checking out for SINGLE turbo kits for the s2000

that price isnt bad at all. turbo’ing an LS1 car is a little more $$$$ than turbo’ing a honda

Oh snap…

no ill admit an ls6-7 etc boosting would be crazy expensive. but im just talking about avail. entry “turbo kits”.

not like full out8-900hp monster.

lovefab-7-9K$
inlinepro-3,600to start not including EMS and a lot of other stuff you would need----ends up being like 5-7K$

s2000 sales a year = maybe 12K

Cars/trucks with LSx sales a year = more than you can afford, pal.

having the bare minimum for turboing lsx fbody platform, from start to finish will still cost you at least 8k with all the hidden costs…

some people will beg to differ. those people havent done it before.

nice boioioioioioioingggg

That doesn’t seem unreasonable at all. :gotme:

its a fucking screaming deal for these cars

thats a shitload of SS piping needed to get the job done, and having cast manifolds made isnt cheap either

more pics of the GTO system, showing the quality of work they do

look at the FMIC to TB pipe … full length silicone, and top quality to boot, NOT a cheap piece to have made, AT ALL

not everyone is out to build a 900hp car…

that is all i have to say.

in '05 i just wanted my car turbo’d and running properly. granted, alot of this stuff was new to me, BUT, just to get the car running properly, there were alot of hidden costs that add up very quickly. that was certainly not a big boy setup.

anyways…whenever i bring this up to local people, they think they can get it done on the cheap. they just dont know

so i guess that means you can never comment on anything to do with nitrous, superchargers, stroker motors, or LT1s since you havent done them.

Because it can Bill. No offense but because it cost you $XXXX doesnt mean it will cost that for everyone.

Seriously how is it any different then slapping a procharger kit on a car? All i can see you needing to buy are injectors and a fuel pump. Seriously asking. What “hidden costs” are there?

It is a twin kit. Now thinkings about that there is a lot of parts, its not truck manfiolds, xspower ic, masterpower turbo. But they know what there doing to get that price, i hope it says around that. looking forward to the pics

typical base single kit is ~5500$, with no upgrades. this particular kit happens to be a STEAL.

kit - 5500
fuel - 800 (racetronix pump + inj)
valvesprings - 200 (stockers will float like a motherfucker with boost)
tune/dyno/crap - 400

theres 7000$ right there. this is the bare minimum. i can tell you, theres a bunch of misc stuff that comes along the way…

gauges
boost controllers
connecting turbo kit to exhaust
blah blah blah blah etc etc i could go on and on and on

i dont have a list of parts on top of my head…nor do i care to explain this further, but turbo kits for ls1s are hardly close to complete where you are driving down the road. not to mention, something ALWAYS is found to have broke or needs upgrading along the way of the installation. there is always SOMETHING.

this isnt even including labor some people have to add, not including tax, etc etc etc. its not quite the same as adding heads and cam. ive done that, i know. not to mention shit thats BOUND to break/blow/poof soon after the addition of the turbo.

ive done the turbo thing twice. i know what’s involved. you go on ls1tech and ask anyone there, who have turbo’d their car, and they will tell you the exact same thing. i can gaurentee you this

That would have to be a huge bitch to work on period. I think you can make more power N/A for the price of the turbo kit alone. A new bottom end, heads, intake, and juice would cost that much. Could make 700+ for the price of that kit.
