Dealer Review: CARSOURCEUSA

I purchased my 2005 lotus elise from these guys, all in all, a very good experience. They are very quick to respond to emails and calls, knowledgeable about the product and very polite. I recommend anyone looking for a higher end car from a dealer to check them out, www.carsourceusa.com They had some pretty gnarly porches, a Maseratti and a few M3s in the showroom. I also saw a few AMG benzos in the parking lot. The buying experience was quick and clean, my correspondent, Sean, was polite and honest.

My biggest disappointment in the whole experience was that they felt my trade was not worth the 18,300 that they gave me. Sean called me on my ride home and expressed his dissatisfaction once they had the car clean, stating that I failed to tell them “the car had been in an accident, the tires were bald, the wheels were pitted, and there was bumper/keying damage”. However, I had properly filled out their trade-in quote request form but somehow, things were overlooked. On the form, I had addressed all of the aforementioned problems, save for the pitted wheels, which I did not think were worth mentioning.

However, West Herr Subaru was willing to give me 18,000 for my car and they had been in, under, and all around it… so I did not think 18,300 is a bad trade-in value for a 2004 STi with 50,000 miles and a BRAND NEW ENGINE. Oh well.

On my end however, I couldn’t ask for more.

Oh, and check out this: http://www.carsourceusa.com/pages/sold.asp?page=22
Read the caption on the Ferrari… wish that was my dad…

I just read a few of the captions, ferrari all i can say is if a girl is driving it it will be gone soon. Looks like a cool dealership and i agree with you about the price of your car, I think its probably worth that, more maybe. And as far as the bald tires go, they are pretty much bald brand new anyway.

it is their duty to find out what the trade is worth before making an offer on it, thats how it usualy works.

they should have looked at the car the moment you rolled in, to ensure that the trade in allowance they quoted you was fair for the vehical

their fault

wow, the car needs a paintjob and tires, thats QUITE the normal situation with a trade in vehical

what’s funny is it was my 4th set of destroyed tires… lol. OEM, 2 sets of blizzaks, then some audi TT OEM tires with 80% on them when i got them. heh…

I wonder how that happened? anyway wheres the happy pics of you getting your car?

haha, yeah, wtf. they told me that i “don’t look like the typical elise buyer…”

There was a guy with a dark grey one at the last wny auto-x, he looked like freddy mercury with the gay mustache, so that probably a good thing.

hahaha

you should of said. fuck that im a baller son. now get my shit on the trailer…

I dont understand what is their problem, the car is well worth 25K as is

 so ur gona take me for a ride in the new beast right?

Wow, I’m surprised that they called you to whine after the deal was done. What were they trying to accomplish? That shows a bit of a lack of class. Ah well, congrats on an awesome car!

Newman, I think I remember reading in some post somewhere that you’re a Mech Engineer. Do you mind if I ask what your job is/where you work? I’m just curious because I’ve got a recent ME degree too but I’m nowhere near the baller you seem to be and I want to know your secret! :stuck_out_tongue: Granted I’ve got a house and a fiance with a big rock on her finger, but, well, uh, I’d rather have an Elise!

 I wonder how much the viper on page 34 sold for. Looks like they got some hot rides there. Where is this place, ohio?

“This young SC man came all the way to Chicago on his father’s private jet to pick up this sporty BMW M3 and cruise home on a road trip back to Charlotte! Have fun–and be CAREFUL!”

http://www.carsourceusa.com/pages/sold.asp?page=28

Why the FUCK would you buy a used car…when you have a jet? Cost of flying jet to/from Chicago + gas to drive the car home > cost differential of new/used

why the fuck would you play soccer and wear pants that don’t fit when you can drive an M3, and have a private jet?

I was just about to say before you edited your post, if you are flying in a private jet to get an M3, there is something wrong… He should be looking more in the Ferrari bracket of cars…

Maybe they didn’t have his size in the woman’s section at Kaufman’s??

To get a used M3, no less. Wait, do they still make that “blow me blue” color? I don’t think they do, so maybe he really liked it. “Leguna Seca Blue” And a gray interior? Gross.

He came all the way from Arizona to buy this 2000 Mercedes S430, all while conducting business on the cell phone hooked to his ear!

stupid bitch

yeah, what an ass. i can’t stand people who can’t hang up…

wtf.

A young local took home this beautiful 1999 911 Cab. at a STEAL from CarSource USA! ‘I’m gonna be rich someday’ he said. ‘Might as well start with a nice car!’
