So I was in Lakeview last night since a good friend of mine is moving to Texas for border patrol, and I gave a bunch of test drives to everyone and then last but not least I took my friend to his house to pick up his supercharged S2000.
Don’t worry he isn’t on here.
We did a few rolls and I toasted him on everyone, they were usually 45-120. I was spinning 2nd and a little in 3rd so I only put 2-3 cars by the time I hit 4th, then it was buses. Even in 5th where my .68:1 overdrive is super long I was still pulling really hard.
Then we digged and he jumped to where I was at his rear quarter through 1st and 2nd and then I reeled him in. So after that we pulled over and switched, his car is awesome. It’s a 30k AP1 and it’s such a tight car, I’ve always wanted an AP1 since they are a lot cheaper now even with low miles. Like a go cart and with the supercharger it had some nuts.
Great runs between friends, just figured I would share.
I’m really surprised he got you on the dig, that’s where the live-axle should shine. I’d start messing with suspension settings, I bet you shave at least half a second off your 1/4 when you get that thing biting.
Dude, I was driving it on the street with full PSI in my Nitto DR’s. The car completely destroys the tires rolling into it in second. You can floor it in first in his car and it doesn’t spin. This was my 2nd launch ever in the car. I gave it a self administered 2 step at like 2500rpm, and then eased into the gas from half throttle. I’ll get better but it’s a good chunk of power to expect it to hook in first on the street.
