was just there . . . the airport is nice.
I am always fascinated by stuff like this. Crazy to see how downhill things go in a short period of time.
The monorail is very useful

BUFFALO, NY – The City of Good Neighbors ranks fourth when it comes to poverty in the U.S. The latest statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau shows nearly 27 percent of the population in the City of Buffalo live in poverty.
According to Business First, which compiled and did the ranking based on U.S. Census Bureau statistics from 2012, nearly 16,000 families in Buffalo are living in poverty.
Rochester ranked third. Detroit was number one, followed by Cleveland.
At the same time Buffalo was just named best place to get a job for college grads. Interesting that it is poor but has jobs for college kids.
Not really that surprising when you think about it. The people that are pushing Buffalo to #4 on that list aren’t qualified for college graduate jobs. And Buffalo has a ton of these people just sitting around living off generous NY handouts.
If you’re going to be poor,
- Make sure it’s in the U.S.
- Head to NYS
I am not surprised but it is an interesting mix. “We don’t need manufacturing jobs” comes to mind. The “We” must mean just the college educated people. I guess if we are going to send manufacturing jobs over seas we need to pay people welfare to sit around and do nothing. And somehow this is better.
Hell yeah
NY is 18% higher than even Cali.
EVERYONE needs to click that link. Holy fuck.
that B.A.S.E. video is sooooo old.
judging by the selection of airwalk shoes im saying late 90’s
Yeah they held off releasing it to avoid legal issues, but it has been out for a while. Red Bull was going to do it during the air races but it was too windy.
I found Buffalo and Detroit to be similar in many ways but Detroit having double the population can support more. Examples 4 sports teams and some nicer museums. Also, the old money is a lot stronger here, while downtown Detroit is bad, a short drive east to Grosse Pointe and you have manisons and castles and an over the top yatch club lifestyle or Downtown Brimingham on the weekend will impress any exotic car fan.
Also, there are a lot more inland lakes on-top of the great lakes so there is a ton of recreational boating.
Edited cause I was wrong.
