One of the guys who is in the Vaping community (see: electronic cigarette) makes custom wooden pens, along with other types as well, but hes primarily a wood craftsman, and IIRC its his hobby, not his full time gig.
Finally ordered some pens from him, though I hardly write often, I love pens… A good quality pen makes me happy, something that fits good in the hand, is not to heavy and isnt to skinny like cheap bic pens.
Anyways, anyone who likes pens that are good to look at and are comfortable to write with might wanna check him out. His system is a bit odd, you email him the pen you want from his site, he sends out the pen and then if you are satisfied you can paypal him or have him send you an invoice. I’m sure if he gets much buisier this won’t be the case, but right now he works on the honor system, which being as small as he is right now I give him props for.
I LOVE this pen, its made out of Wenge, its a very dark brown, the grain looks amazing. I also have another Wenge pen I got for the wife, its a pen but the top of the pen also works as a stylus for an ipad/kindle fire/android tablet/smartphone etc
Pictures seriously do not do these things justice, i really really enjoy good looking wood (insert gay comment here) and these thigns look a million times better in person
