I’m helping my buddy install a rough country lift in his truck the weekend following thanksgiving and we need this tool. From what I can find they are about $150 online and so i’m trying to help him find one first.
Or, if you know how I can do without this tool please let me know.
jack it up, the adjustment bolt will turn easier that way, make your adjustments, set it back down and check ground clearance on both sides, repeat until level…what specialty tool do they make for adjustment? the only one i knew of is for removal? which i dont think is necessary for the lift? i may be as wrong as dick cancer though.
I think it’s got simples on the crossmember and the torsion key where this thing fits in. I’ll check for you tonight. I pulled a couple bins of tools down from my attic and haven’t put them back up.
jake, you should have come by the shop and rented the one we have…
the lift kit removes the factory keys and swaps in with new keys with the hole clocked at a different angle so you get more lift. thus the need for the key removal tool.
