bump, went to rendezvous, the new “club” down there
it was mehh, kinda dead, but hey it was free
is there any club/dance spot in buffalo that isn’t half filled, everything on chippewa sucks unless it’s like new years and packed, NYC had some bitchin raves, but ofcourse that’s a totally diff city
not anymore. chippewa is doing 80 times worse by the week. i’m surprised the statler ISNT picking up business off that, but it looks like buffalo is gonna maintain to be a “bar” crowd for a long time. i left pure/bayou and for awhile it had a decent club vibe but not so much anymore. sad to see, if chippewa fails it’s just one less place in the city where there’s something to do, and we already have very few of that. driving to toronto is your best option to not have to hear 10 year old hiphop in the clubs.
sadly I’m not surprised. it really sucks for everyone - i’d prefer chippewa to be lowest common denominator intelligence people for the trade-off of masses, but now it’s just dead with the spreading out of the people to all the other places in the city to annoy the fuck out of me anywhere else I DJ and want to step away from that noise. as well as less places making money which sucks for everyone as well.
and yea, jock jams still fly real nice in the clubs out here, no lie. lol
Going out DT and any where near the city isn’t really fun anymore. I don’t mind Colter Bay on Friday’s as I know people and its more of a professional crowd but it seems that downtown and 5 miles around the city is all meat head guidos and unless you spend your life in a gym and are dumb as shit, you don’t really fit in. Hell, I don’t think I have had an useful conversation with someone downtown in 3 years when I worked at Bayou.
Does that work anymore tho? I mean most of the people typically spend $8-10 cover and $8 for a urine sample size cup of red bull and vodka so I don’t think higher prices are really a solution and would just hurt the regular people who enjoy mellow people and cheaper beers.
