It’s more of a cleaner/pre polish. Some people use it as a one step wax sometimes. It does lay down some protection–how muh I do not know. It’s a good pre-wax polish for just about any wax. My car didn’t need much polishing, and I decided to let any polishing that it does need go until spring.
