DREAMWEAVER HELP establishing the file as your home page

ok so im ftped in the site useing dream weaver…

i have the page built ready to set…but for the life of me i cant get the fucker to save as the home page in dreamweaver or figure out what file is being used as the home page in dreamweaver

front page i open the bitch up wham there the index page and i can do what i want but i dont wanna use front page…

i got the new one set up all ready in dreamweaver i just cant get it to set the page i want as the home page to overwrite it…

in help it says find the file right click and click set as home page

but i right clcik on the file and it dosnt give me that option???

when you ftp into the site, are you making sure it’s going into the / directory or the /www directory??? There should be a setting in the preferences for dreamweaver that you designate what directory to goto when you establish ftp connections…

I’m a little confused on what youre trying to do, I’ll see if I can load Dreamweaver later and take a look at it.

Then just upload the homepage into the www directory as index.html

use a different ftp, dream weaver ftp will just complicate things. I use Filezilla. I would also recommend using notepad unless your using about 400 tables.

i got it figured out…

it was a problem on my hoster server…it was set up to use fronpage??

he had to switch the dsn for dreamweaver

ill stick with dreamweaver i like it, but ill check out filezilla.

i cant use any of them govt blocks them and makes it a bitch to open it up alotof paper work blah blah

my issue now is my css style sheet and my damn images folder is on my desktop…

and everything is linking to there

i dont know how to upload the css style sheet and the whole image folder to the server
