Drift-ops Pictures Sept 12th!

ha the one pic with keez n peter…it looks like chris is doing the moon walk LOL

I guess it’s not you whom everyone is talking about.

Anyways, I personally think it’s stupid that someone wants to hide it so badly. Just goes to show how insecure people can be.

I could understand if you wrote your car off doin something stupid on public roads. But on the track, everyone is there to learn.

It’s not about hiding the fact they screwed up, it’s all about insurance reasons.

People have to start thinking outside the box, and not about ego.

It’s ALL about ego.

This thread just proved you wrong.

I’m sure 99% of the guys shown drifting in the pictures posted do not tell their insurance company that they bring their car to the track.

And then theres the guys that have no insurance but trailer their cars there (they are excluded from that statement).

Like I said, it’s ALL about ego.

People LOVE to show off pics of themselves drifting. Whether you crashed or not would have not been any different if an insurance company were to come here and see the pictures.

I have a lot more respect for people who are brave enough to show their damage rather than try to hide it.

^^ I don’t think you get the point Mark.

And this Individual was not drifting. Everything you said above does not apply.

A lot of guys do care, hence, taking their license plates off. Or taping them up so there’s no real proof.

If they ever need to make a claim, the company can’t accuse them of doing the damage at teh track…Or, if someone crashes AT THE TRACk but MAY want to hide the fact and make a claim…you know?

LOOOL!

Exactly. I didn’t want to say that it was a possibility, but you never know.

Good point in the taping license plates off. If no one cared, 90% of the crowd would not tape their plates up for the fact of trying to hide their presence at the track, in the case if they did crash or whatever.

Definitely not, and in most ways I was agreeing with you and making a bit of a joke. I’ve always gone to the track with the mentality that if you can’t write it off and walk away you should rethink going to the track.

Anyway, back on topic, here’s some random in car clips from me (below). Lots of problems with the car today, but I muddled through and enjoyed myself.

looked like you almost cliped trutrax a couple times lol

I don’t know who trutrax is, the S13 hatch in front of me in the vid is Lucas, who I was never close to “clipping”.

lol mike your alignment was slightly off eh lol

and no footage of you drifting into the pits?

trutrax doesnt track his car, it was lucas. And sick video man! Level of drifting in ontario has definetely risen in the last year.

Hahaha no. That one actually made me nervous. It was after catching air and clipping the wall and catching fire. Which sadly, none of is on tape :frowning:

I hope Ian puts his photos up soon.

Mikey…my girlfriend could have reached out and touched your tail light on our last tandem run. We got mega close…I mean close lol. Best drift day so far. Everyone ripped it up.

After ease dropping this thread, Mike man…one run you lead the pack and spun it just before the last turn. That looked like all hell was gonna break lose but luckily noone got hurt. I got some pics lying around, not to many though.

here u guys go

Hahaha, yeah she looked pretty nervous when we were talking in the paddock later. Chris on one side of you, me on the other. Next time I’ll run more cameras so we can have some rear facing ones!

Yeah man, it’s tough when you’ve been leading for several laps, especially with the setup issues I was having. If you’re gonna spin you gotta head off track, something I’ve learned well doing the multicar trains down in Jersey.

So many cameras, so few photos online :frowning: Thanks to those who posted them so far.
