Yeah, using a charcoal filter like the liquor manufacturers use. It takes all the harshness and nasty taste out. Ends up tasting similar to Absolut or something around that level. It is super smooth.
So i guess after a a half gallon or so… it pays for itself. My room-mate has a brita filter and coffee filters… I’m sure he wouldn’t mind contributing to the experiement. :D:D
I just hope he doesn’t mistake my experiment for fresh water in the brita tomorrow morning. 
I used a filter that needed replaced anyways. It worked well.
