When I did my 9.1 on a whopping 15psi I had c16 in running 13* and ngk-8 plug. Im going back on 20+psi ngk-7 plug and 16-18* soon. Hope I don’t have to get another converter. Fkin mustangs.
This is no boost so my compression won’t be anything like a forced induction vehicle.
Plan is to dial in a tune at 93 with half a tank of 93, then top off with e85 and play. My tank is only 5 gallons, so I can easily drain and refill with whatever. The motor is going to want more air so I’ll probably have to do an intake soon. $600 for a intake, I should just build a race car. Jesus.
Pfft. $600 intake… Try $1200 on -AN fittings, or $1k on a boost controller… lol
Honestly I didn’t read the whole thread, I skimmed through and thought this had a turbo, but you were talking about injectors lol. You could probably run e85 without touching the timing, but you won’t see any gains. You would probably only need to advance it 6° or less roughly from what others post on NA motors. Most people seem to start with 2° across the board and fine tune through the rpms. If you wanted a more aggressive timing map you would have to put it on the dyno(recommended) or rely on knock sensors if you have them. I still think you could get away with e47, (50% 93oct10e 50%e85), you’ll make good power, better mpg, less injector, and start a lot easier. You may think e85 is cheaper, but I was getting down to 9mpg with a DI 2.0 engine lol.

Ls1 +e85 info

Its a atv. Mpg don’t really exist lol. If I get more power than 93 and its cheaper than race fuel. It will be a win.
It’s going to the dyno either way for a tune.
I wanted to do this with my bike, but i would have to go through the whole fuel system. It would eat everything up in no time.
I have been running e-85 for 5 years now… No rubber or aluminum fuel related item has corroded, been eaten away or anything. Fuel seems to have no effect on anything…
I know setting up a carb can be a pain in the ass. I was going to do the race bikes but they will be for sale soon.
Everyone that ran e85 in my last car had to replace the injector seals with the updated “flex fuel” seals. It didn’t even take a year for them to fail. I’m not saying it eats everything, but most motorcycles aren’t designed to run E like cars. I don’t know how long it would last, without trying it.
If I mix e85 with 93 I’m assuming I should be looking for ethonal free 93? The 10% ethonal will screw with the blending right?
No Just Use 93 with e. It works out to E47 when it’s 50/50.

You can get a tester for around $10 and run the exact amount everytime.
I don’t think 93 ethanol free exists in NY. (?)
Its rare but Ive spotted it around.
PLEASE let me know if you see it again.
I see it on the Rez when I go for diesel for the equipment.
There’s a 7-11 gas station on the corner of Niagara Falls blvd and Ruie rd that has ethanol free 93. I know because my stupid flex fuel app listed it as having e85. Which they don’t have. They do have the 93 though.
noco on walden and pvmt has ethanol free 91.
