Seems like a new trend and there are several in Buffalo.
Did perplexity with chick and parents about a month ago now. Did the Aunt Gertrudes Fortune.
Did not know what to expect going in, but seemed like a unique idea and something to do that may test the old noggin a bit.
Was sort of unhappy that they added another group of 4 strangers in to our mix, but that wore off quickly as you need as much brain power as possible.
They give you 60 minutes to solve the total puzzle and escape the room. The challenges were interesting and difficult and required some outside of the box thinking.
For $25 per person, it was a fun night out, spawned a lot of good conversation afterwards and I would absolutely do them again. They change the room themes every 4-6 months to keep it fresh.
Our group escaped in 51:33 with zero hints.
I would recommend it highly if you have a group of up to 8 people and you are looking for a new and interesting experience.
For example. A male was trying to open a magic box for a solid 6 minutes. Finally his gf takes it from him as the clock is ticking and opens it in 30 seconds.
I enjoyed on a deeper level than just the actual puzzle
What if it’s used while you’re experiencing other emotions besides panic? Like an annoying woman who happens to live with you and you need me time? That would be sweeeet.
