opinions on extra quart oil pans, are they worth the extra money, i know they help cool but is the added weight worth the money. please give youre reasons for your answers
yup
Moroso makes them, heard they work quite well
Depending on what you plan on doing Drag or autox Either way try to find ones that have trap door assy to make sure the oil pump is full. My .02
for drag and i was thinking canton
Canton makes nice stuff. Is this for the mustang? Might have a lead on a couple. Aluminum or steel. Steel is lighter since it can be made of thinner material and usually seals better.
yea for stang, let me know like tonight, cause going shopping tomorrow hopefully
I know for a car like mine, that the extra oil is a must. All the oil gets to the top of the motor and take time to drain back to the pan.
quik…my bro picked up a nice morso one for his nova…traps and all…at a good price too
Nothing came through. Good luck shopping let everyone know of your choice
i went with a canton 7qt dual sump with crank scraper, came with pick up and dipstick… got it from laurel mountain…thanks Lou
10 qt here worth the money as for the weight I wouldn’t worry about it unless your building a prostock. Did you get a good deal I need to get another I crushed mine.
good chioce!
Id say i got a good deal. thanks to Lou at laurel Mountain and Brian from JJs
What would a moroso 10 qt run me.
why would you even want a 10 qt for a car
I’d imagine a road race car that lacked the room for an oil cooler (vette maybe?) would want a 10qt because of the high oil temps. I can’t see it being useful on a drag car, since it’d never reach operating temperature!
edit The new vipers have a 10qt pan, gotta cool 500hp somehow i guess.
7 qt I ment my mistake,
