Fabricators and sheet metal workers inside.....

I need to have a part made. It is roughly 1" x 2" x 1/16" thick. Thickness is not all that important as long as it doesn’t bend. There will need to be a 1/4" hole in the center. I plan on having it chromed.

What is the best way to get something like this? Is there a local company that could do this ? I plan on needing about 20 of them to start. would this be something that is stamped out ?

Any input would be appreciated.

It would be this shape. (Not actual size, just a rough idea)

Waterjet (maybe laser, but might warp) would be the best way to make the part, imo. As for a local company I have no Idea.

yeah you wont want to pay for a stamping die to be made for 20 or so, maybe if you were talking hundreds and on a continuous basis. If you cant find anything ill check with the machine shops we subcontract out through work and see if they take orders from the public

Call May Tool in Tonawanda they can make them for you. (716) 695-1033

The Klein steel rep told me they can cut parts using a water jet.
I have never priced it out, but I do get a bunch of meterial from them.

There is also another way to get pricing and/or parts…

Download their software, draw something up, select materials, and submit for quote.
