I drove past this yesterday. Around the time this happened it wasn’t even that bad. But, the roads were definitely slick. People are nuts. I would rather be late than dead.
Read about it this morning. Sad. Wonder if she was wearing her seat belt though considering similar sized cars, both drivers side front end impacts, but one driver dead while the other only had minor injuries.
+1 I got off the thruway and drove past it a few mintues after it happened also. I could tell one driver was still pinned in the car. Looking at the road and such right there I don’t understand how it happened. There is a concrete curb dividing the 2 lanes of traffic
I was at a stop light yesterday morning when a white charger comes flying by me in the left turning lane. First thing that popped in my head was he’s gonna spin out trying to make the turn that fast. Then I quickly look up and the left hand turn light is red. The asshole ended up just running the light at 45-50 mph swerving around all the cars waiting at the light and almost smashed into a car turning left from the other way. I wouldn’t have known what to do if I saw him t-bone someone at that speed with the carnage that would have come from it.
It was just after 5 p.m. when the woman, driving a red Chevy eastbound on Ridge Road, apparently crossed the center line, which then turned into a slightly raised median. Her car was on the wrong side of the median when it collided with a grey sedan coming the other way.
Hey everyone thats my Gf’s sister in law. Pretty sure they said she was wearing her seatbelt, she was a Nurse at a local hospital. She will be missed greatly R.I.P AMY
