I really hate to do this, actually i still don’t know if i still want to do this at all, but im trying to smarten up since i will be moving out sooner than planned.
Quick Specs
600cc 16v
Just rolled 20k
Has a few cracks in the plastics. Its from the 80s, its far from perfect, but cleans up very nice
Mechanically, its runs AMAZING. It will probably need a tuneup considering it wasn’t registered or on the road last summer. I have the trickle charger on the battery but i would recommend getting a new battery this summer.
Thats it, give it a tune up and ride this summer. If i dont get a good offer, i will just hang on to it.
I can get close up pictures on the cracks as requested, just let me know.
$1600
Im going to give it one run on ebay this weekend as well.
And trust me guys i REALLY do NOT want to sell this, its like a part of me, but its stupid to just have it sit when i could use the money to move out next month.
Nice bike but price seems a little high to me…I looked at a Mint 1990 Yamaha FZR 600 last spring with lower/similar mileage and it sold for $1200. I love late 80s/early 90s sport bikes if your price comes down I’d be interested.
fyi, i learned on an 86 ninja 600… they are still capable of a 12 sec 1/4 so its not like the 15 sec ninja 250, you will enjoy it, you will learn on it, it CAN still kick your ass, and tires are cheaper on those tiny lil wheels…
somebody pick this up… fyi i bought my 86 ninja for 800 bucks it was beat… i tuned it up and cleaned it up and sold it for 1300 a couple months later… this bike is MUCH cleaner than mine was… good deal

truth. It used to give my cousin’s f3 a decent run for its money a few summers ago.

I learned on a ninja 250 back in the 80s. I got board real quick. I stepped up to a modified FJ1200 after that. The 600 is a nice size.
