I have an older laptop that I’d like to get a few bucks for possibly.
Compaq Presario 1200
13" LCD
Celeron 766
192 MB RAM (64MB onboard, 128MB PC133 SO-DIMM add-in) Passes Memtest
Battery is dead. AC adapter works perfectly fine.
Keyboard and case in great condition. Just a little dirty/dusty.
6.4 GB Hard Drive. Will install an OS if you wish. It is blank.
CD-ROM works
Floppy works sometimes. I think its just dirty. Reads when it wants. LOL
Ports:
1X PCMCIA
1X modem
1X VGA output
2X USB
1X Parallel
1X mouse port (PS2)
NO Network port. Need a PCMCIA card or USB adapter.
I would like to get $150 for it. Otherwise, I can just part it out on ebay for about that much.
you can part that out for 150?..
go right ahead not to be a dick… but the 192mb of ram alone… kind of kills it…
do u have a more specific model number?
You can always get more RAM… that doesn’t hinder the ability to take it apart and sell it piece by piece. The LCD, mainboard, AC adapter, CD-ROM, Plastics/remaining parts afterwards, Keyboard and hard drive caddy are all sellable. Easily $150. Hell, even the 128MB PC100 that passes memtest fine will sell for $25. LOL
It’s not going to win any speed contests, but for AIM, internet and word… it’s good enough.
I’ll find out when I get home for you.
still interested, have that model number?, would u take 125?
I’ll get back to this thread tomorrow. The model number is 12XL500
