Feeler fs EVO 9 20g turbo

Looking to upgrade, seeing what kind of offers I get. I just inspected it, no shaft play at all, good condition. I run it at 21psi and max at 27 but only hit that when tuning. WG included and I might consider selling the exhaust mani, intake mani and radiator if anyone’s interested. Don’t low ball, I don’t need to sell anything I don’t mind keeping all of my stock parts.

^to prove it’s mine

How many miles?

Pm’d. Can’t give an exact amount of miles on it but it’s in great condition. I have an offer of $500 on the table but it’s worth more.

Is this a stock evo9 turbo or a 20g? They are different turbos.

^ Yes mr. Hendel is correct. The OEM 9 turbo is a 16g and this looks like a stock unit? Glws anyhow these things make nice power on E85

Last time I checked the Viii comes with a big 16g vs small 16g which are most common on DSM’s and the 9 turbo is indeed a 20g. Almost the same as the Viii turbo but a 10.5 hotside. I’m almost 100% positive the 9 is a 20g but I could be wrong. If so I apologize for mis leading anyone here. I didn’t do tons of research into it’s exact (g) size but it’s a big improvement over the stock 8 16g.

Yes this turbo makes big power on 93 and even bigger on E85. If it doesn’t sell in the next couple weeks, when I get my Exedy double and injectors I will be getting a tune on E85 at 30psi with this turbo.

If i bought a 600rr could i bolt this up to it and go as fast as a liter bike?

I don’t think any evo ever came with a 20g stock, but my memory might be a little hazy.

This turbo was used on the evo 6 as well. I’ve read several times on EvoM that the evo 9 comes with a 20g

We’ve turbo’d a few Harley’s at work and they use a way way smaller turbos. This would be pretty damn big on a 600rr you’d never be able to run enough boost for it to be worth it. But if a big ass turbo on a small motor is what your going for, have at it!

I was right. It’s a 16G with a 10.5 hotside

Yeah that’s a 16g. It has the 2005- 10.5t hotside, but the compressor housing is a bit bigger then the VIII.

EDIT:Take that $500 offer.

Yea Ali has us covered^ lol still a nice turbo. Low mileage and you should just put 30 pounds on it haha. Boost taper sucks cock but torque is fun:)

There are two other recently posted 9 turbos on EvoM listed as 20g’s and I’ve read up on the 9 turbo and other people/websites call it a “20g” as well. I know the only differences are 10.5 hotside and different oil lines. Yea taper does suck, I have it set at 25psi today and it peaks and holds 25 almost right to 7k. Pushing it to 30 will unfortunately peak at 30 and probably taper to 21 or so but it definitely makes good power on my stock motor.

There are beat Viii 16g turbos for sale for $500 WITH shaft play. 20k of the 30k miles I’ve put on this were stock tune never over 12psi. I just started modding and tuning this EVO last December, this turbo is mint. Me taking $500 for this wouldn’t be worth it to me, I’d rather keep it as backup. A fair price is more around $700

Hybridevo the pic you posted looks like it says 16g, but i have piss poor eye sight. lol

Maybe idk haha I’ll have to pull my intake off and further inspect what it says when I get a chance because I need to know now, it’s bothering me. Lol. It’s definitely not a Viii turbo that I know. It’s definitely off of an Evo 9 and it definitely makes good power.

also, the link to STM shows “16G” on the turbo in their pic also.

one thing we can agree on is you can make good power from this turbo.

:sunglasses:

If you have an offer for 500$ take it and run. I know how much they cost new, but they generally go for 400$, manifold for 50$, 80$ if it’s ported. I bought mine for 300$ shipped with no shaftplay and got an upgraded wastegate for an extra 150. Unfortunately the only thing these fit on are 8/9s “i think” because the turbo is flipped compared to a dsm, so anything other would have to be custom. Like everyone has said these make great horsepower for the money. 11s/12s

And like I said there are smoked Viii turbos selling for $500 why the hell would I take that? Tell me what turbo I will go to with $500. None, not even a stock frame HTA that someone sent it somewhere like FP. Also custom jobs are what this is all about. If someone wants power and tq bad enough they will spend the $700 and make it work on whatever car they have. It’s definitely worth it. Also like I’ve said a few times I don’t mind keeping it, pushing it harder the rest of the season and having it as back up.

Yeah you’re completely unrealistic. Just because it’s posted on EvoM for $700 doesn’t mean it sells for $700. They are great factory turbos for sure but not worth more than $500. If you’re trying to NOT come out of pocket for a new turbo by selling this that’s another completely unrealistic thought. Pony up the cash baller.

Good luck getting $700 for this thing…
