FF keeper discussion (I would think this belongs under the 'Nerds' section)

So I am in a keeper league, this will be the third year (won the previous two years, $200 by in). For some reason this year I had a REALLY good team that became hot at the right time of year. I can keep 2-4 players, my choice. To keep though you loose the first rounds respective to the amount of people you keep. The thing is the whole first three rounds is basically kept no matter what, so its worth keeping at least 3 players. My current team has 5 on the can’t cut list, so I am a little torn as to who I should keep

Roddy White
(Atl - WR)
Mike Sims-Walker
(Jac - WR)
Cedric Benson
(Cin - RB)
Jamaal Charles
(KC - RB)
Antonio Gates
(SD - TE)
Thomas Jones
(NYJ - RB)
Laurence Maroney
(NE - RB)

There are 16 people in this league, and passing TDs are 6 points, 25 yards per 1 point, so keeping a QB that puts up above average numbers is almost a requirement. That said I might drop Romo if someone can convince me too. (Only people I posted are ones that might be worth keeping)

J. Charles

Benson and Charles because they are some of the only RBs not in a time share, Roddy should be a top ten WR again. My keepers last year where Romo, T. Jones and R. White

Drop Romo, there is always a starting QB that will put up quality numbers (IE someone like an Alex Smith who can still put up 17-25 pts per game and will be on every leagues waiver). I never draft a QB until rd 12 or better. This year I got lucky and got Favre and Big Ben rds 12 & 14.

Since in a keeper league the top 10 of every position is easily kept (sans TE, K, D, and ind D if you play that).

I’d go with White, Benson, Gates, and Jones as you won’t find that quality in the draft. I like Jones over Charles all day.
