Not really. Most likely they installed a “drift gyro” for RC cars, simply plug it in and put some driftable tires on and now you are a drift champ.

Its easy enough to drift with just 2" diameter PVC “tires”( 1/10 scale anyways) The gyro is for noobs. :lol
