Look at me I just bought some water and a bagel…
I’d def say that you are going to wish you had the forced air for track days, even auto/x on a hot day makes my face sweat with an open faced helmut.
Julie… do you hook yours up or does that hole just help w/ the breathing onf the helmut?
There are three ways I am going to do this. Think vacuum hose…
Rig up a system to my car vents and use the factory fan. I am blocking off the passenger and driver side vents so I will only have air going through the center vent. I will make a funnel or something to take up the place of the center vents.
Run a ducted intake in my passenger window and just have a RAM air effect.
Buy a cooler, make a hole for the hose, us an inline van and fill cooler with ice. I will eventually do this, as I am planning on making a cool suit that incorperates the same cooler.
i was actually thinking about this, i was thinking maybe lexan in the 1/4 glass with a vent, i’ve seen a few setups like this at the vintage weekends. but I’m gonna have the Z on the street once in a while too, so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to
I’ve had a number of Arai helmets and along with Bell they are my favorite brand. Looks nice and it’s light, but you really want an SA helemt if you are driving a car and the track wants to get pricky.
haha i have funny arai video on my laptop, its an “instructional video” spoof for fitting people to the helmets. I’ll see if I can find it hosted anywhere
