Its a cool concept but its not really a good grill if thats what you are looking for. The burner covers a skillet type plate so the food doesnt get exposed to a flame at all. Its baskically like cooking with a grill pan. It is super cool to hit the button and your grill pops up though. If you want a great portable grill go with the weber Q

no flame touching the meat is a big problem, i like to chargrill my beef. Thanks for the heads up, the weber grill is called a ‘Q’?
