Yes, my intentions of getting up to go to the bar (numerous times) was to get another drink (since how long did it take the waitress to bring us anything?). Yes, Beth may not do it intentionally, but unfortunately when guys talk to girls, 9 times out of 10 all they want is in their pants (yes, Mike wanted in MY pants when we met too!)… and Beth is nice to all guys (including going out with them places), so when she talks to them nicely or goes places with them, they think they have a chance, then Beth turns them down and they get pissed.
