good :ninja
Just read that.
Another 2600 jobs lost, and expect the same grim news from GM later. Nobody makes money, nobody will spend money. Expect massive layoffs after Christmas in all sectors and especially in retail. :headbang
Trickle down doesnt work without the trickle, its all bad.
i think its worse in the car industry than in most retail, car companies have been banging out thousands of cars every year and it was excessive then and still is now, its just the fact that people came to a realization that maybe they dont need tot rade in there 2006 for a 2008, just an opinion.
GM just release Q3 results ~> http://shift518.gom-host.com/index.php?topic=5597.0
Just wait until GM buys Chrysler and see what a loss they make each quarter.
The only companies that seem to be making money are the foreign ones. Ill bet Honda and Toyota made money last quarter although Toyota has to be taking a huge hit buying back all the Tacomas with rotted frames.
None of them are doing well, Toyota especially.
The rotted frame thing is a drop in the bucket.
Down with ford :excited
your company aint doin much better :nod
“Ford (F, Fortune 500) is not the only automaker seeing trouble. Rival General Motors (GM, Fortune 500) is forecast to report a jump in losses in the quarter later in the day Friday”
based on the quality of my focus, this does not surprise me
lol, the quality on my cobra is decent. It goes fast, so who cares.
it also cost A LOT more, and has a super cool snake on it… so there’s the difference
Ford auto unit burns through $6.3 billion and cuts 2,600 hourly workers.

But the most shocking news came in its statements about its cash position. GM said it had burned through $6.9 billion during the quarter and warned that it "will approach the minimum amount necessary to operate its business" during the current quarter
