AO was the first MMO I played. I played it for a couple years. It’s a lot of fun, and is pretty unique with its high tech/sci fi setting.
However, a word of warning. Unless it’s been changed recently, it is one of the most complex MMO’s you’ll ever see, in regard to your equipment and skill selection. When I played I had spread sheets and printouts and all kinds of 3rd party programs to help me figure crap out.
Nope it’s still complex though they did change the interface. But it’s not nearly as bad as when they started it.
