I got a pair of 215/40/17 Yokohoma ES100 with about 80% tread left. However, both pairs have camber on ONE edge of the tire. Only 1/2 Inch of camber. You can flip the tires to run the meaty part on the inside for more grip. These tires are extra grippy and good to put on the back for traction
$100 for the pair
I also have a pair of 205/40/17 Kumho 712 with about 60% tread. very minimal camber wear and both tires are in good condition.
these tires are to be used for ONLY the rears. if the car runs at least -1.5 camber, the part that is stripped will NEVER touch the floor. I can guarnatee cause my outter part of the tire on my car don’t even touch. its almost brand new but the inside is bald.
if you know tires, you will understand. ive delt at least over 30 tires over the summer and are fairly familiar with how to run tires to its maximum efficiency.
most people know that if you run some sort of camber, the outside of your tires are always brand new. So, you run these tires with the BAD side on the OUTSIDE, and the meaty part on the inside. that way, the bad side will never touch and won’t get worse.
The car they are going on is not cambered and i was looking for something inexpensive. This is actually a gift for my sister. I bought her rims but one tire was bad and i needed a cheap replacement to surprise her. She’ll need new tires for summer regardless… Maybe if the price was less i’d consider…
what do you have available and for how much? just need something on the car to surprise her with… they won’t be on the car very long cause winter is coming around and the winters will be put on… just need one rubber in 205/40r17 and still above the wear bar…
