1979 Harley Davidson Ironhead Sportster

I just traded my jeep for this Harley. I don’t know much at all about these bikes. It’s a 1979 Ironhead Sportster. Deep red chameleon paint by previous owner. Motor was just rebuilt and bored out at same time. NEW TIRES. Has forward controls, mids included. 3 sets of pipes. Gauges are included.
The bad news is that I can’t get get it to keep a charge. Previous owner said it worked fine for him but I can’t get it to start after one charge. I haven’t looked into it at all so I have no idea. Could be a very stupid thing on my part.
