Well it seems I didn’t end up having the funds I wished so my hatch build-up project is up for grabs. Here are the specs:
- 1989 240sx hatchback
- 220’XXX kms
- automatic
- mint interior
- almost completly stock
The good:
- the owner before me took very good care of the car, always kept it very tidy and in good shape.
- includes stock options such as rear seat shoulder belts, moon roof cover with case, and tie down straps for the case.
- everything work, power windows, power locks, moonroof, cruise control, tilt, and the A/C was recently recharged so it blows ICE cold.
- burns little to no oil
The bad:
- hood suffered major hail damage during a storm in June, and needs to be replaced.
- roof has had the dents repaired and is flat black as of now.
- needs 3 new tires… yes 3.
- has rust in the usual spots, but NONE on the frame, can get pics if you want.
- hatch had spoiler removed so it has holes and is flat black
It’s either take the car as is for $2500, or I can paint the roof gloss black for the two tone look, weld up the holes in the hatch and paint it to match the car, get a new hood and paint it to match also and that price would be $3200.
The engine is extremely reliable, has always started even at -30 with just a single turn of the key. I had everything lined up for a 5 speed swap, with a KA24DE engine, I could get everything and throw it all in for an extra $800.
Good as a shell, or even as a build-up project. I’m flexable on the price, seeing as I need it gone to get my new car.
