Hi guys, looking to see if anybody is interested in buying my car, otherwise it will join the growing list of scrapyard 240’s.
Basics: 175 xxx km (body and engine)
black
5-spd
no air/no pw or pl
cruise (works intermitantly)
factory stereo (tape player inoperative/ front pass. speaker static)
Specifics: rust is a major issue
both frame rails are rusted with holes near the front
floor under drivers seat is very weak
driver side rocker panel has a hole in it
driver side rear rocker panel is very flimsy
fist sized hole through wheel well into engine compartment on dr. side
hatch is completely fried (large holes on either side of stop lamp)
some bubble rust starting on windshield posts
dent just above rear marker light on drivers side
original paint is still quite good other than the hood and rear bumper
needs rear rotors and possibly calipers
fuel line is rusted through and leaking profusely
to repair the fuel line will probably require also replacing brake lines
at the same time due to their close proximity
battery is dead but does start with a boost
has a new starter (installed by me) and a new washer pump (installed
by Nissan dealer)
So, anything good about the car? It still drives like the day I got it. The stock and
otherwise unmolested KA runs very strong, lots of power, no idle problems, starts on the first crank, and passed its last e-test (May 2005) with flying colours. If you wanted the car for the engine, this would be a great donor car. Otherwise, ALL the parts are original (at least from when I bought the car, which was May 99)
including the exhaust. The car currently has Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 in the stock size on the excellent condition stock wheels. These tires are unbelievable in the snow, and still have tons of tread left. I also have a set of Fuzion Zri summer tires not on rims in size 205/55/15, basically new.
