Hey guys. I have a 97 eagle talon tsi (awd turbo), that was my daily driver. It’s got two problems. Rust on rockers and front strut towers. The engine also crank walked… so it starts, it runs, but you can hear bottom end noises and well the engine needs to be replaced or worked on.
This is a cheap price to pay 500$ to just take it off my hands and it’ll still drive (but keep it under 3000rpm imo)
Again:
-97 eagle talon tsi (awd turbo)
-stock 240,xxx only amsoil used since I’ve owned it, however lol it still crank walked
-Has type S BOV recirculated and injen pipe from turbo
-Brand new front radiator support cost about 1300$ with parts and labor
-leather interior although seats are a bit worn
-Driver door handle broken but I still have it (lol have to open from other side)
-cracked driver side mirror
-no radio
-rust on rockers
-rust on strut towers (for both of the rust things I know a guy on DSM forums who fixes them up for 500$… this is a common problem on DSMs)
-Brake job JUST before it died that I paid 500$ for… front and rear new rotors, pads, etc…
-Brand new alternator
-Brand new PS/alternator belt installed
-Front bumper is cracked in a spot but it’s held/hidden by license plate anyway
Just being honest with all of the above. I will post pictures once I take them, it’s been parked in garage collecting dust. It will start…
Also I got some brand new and remaining parts which were going to be installed, that I have no use for now:
AVID Racing 4piece cnc’d + middle grade urethane engine+tranny mounts (good for 600awhp)…300$
OEM Mitsubishi Fuel Filter …$20
OEM Balancer belt 30$
NGK Spark Plugs - SET OF 4 …$10
BG Syncroshift II Synthetic Gearbox Oil …15$
Power Enterprise Kevlar Timing Belt…120$
OEM O2 sensor pre-cat…150$
Speed source shifter bushings …35$
I’ll post pictures of the parts later in the day when I get to work but I’ve linked them to rtm racing as that’s where I got them from. Everything is new/as pictured…
