FS: 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport $5800

So, my wife is ready to move her baby. She bought this new in July of 2002. She does a LOT of driving for work, so the truck has just under 159,000 miles on it. The truck has been virtually bulletproof. We’ve done all of the maintenance ourselves, and it shows. I would put this up against any similar year Liberty with half of the mileage, and can guarantee that this one looks, drives and even smells newer.

It has never been in an accident. No paintwork whatsoever. There are 2 small dings, and one rust spot which I have photographed. It has a set of close to new Toyo tires on it. When I mounted them, I stripped the original, peeling silver finish off of the wheels, and painted them all flat black, including the center caps.

Every oil change has been done using a Mann 719/36 filter and Mobil One synthetic oil, always between 6-7000 miles. We’ve done a full transmission service within the last 10000 miles, including filter and the correct Mopar fluid. Both differentials have been serviced recently as well, using GL5 synthetic.

I will also be doing a front brake service shortly, as the rotors are developing a bit of a chatter.

I just removed the original exhaust about 1000 miles ago, and replaced it with a Gibson cat-back system. Sound is very mellow, deeper than stock, but not annoying at all. Very nice sound.

We typically get 20mpg with mixed driving. Better on the highway, slightly worse exclusively around town.

So, onto the important details:
Mileage: 159,000
Price: $5800 (firm) - this is dead-on in line with KBB good private party, and NADA trade-in value. The truck is MUCH better than good, but I’m also very aware of the current climate for SUVs.
Also, average dealer auction selling price for the exact vehicle is $5,081, tack on auction fees, transportation, and reconditioning, and this truck would retail for somewhere around $6500

Also, FWIW, if I know ahead of time, I can have the truck here at my shop, and would be happy to put it up on a lift for further inspection.

These things are pretty nice. Peppy and they feel like go-karts (to me, when I get out of my truck and drive my wifes.)

Amazing in the snow, drift great. Can tow a bunch too.

Free bump for an honest guy.

Trade for a 99 Grand Cherokee with leather etc.? Just throwing it out there.

Sorry, no trades, unless it’s an Audi A4 Avant 5/6-spd

Bump for underbody pics just taken today
