My father bought this truck new and drove the thruway daily, which is where the high miles come from. He gave it to me in 2001 and I drove it until this past August. This truck is incredibly reliable, has ALWAYS started and NEVER broke down or left me stranded. The 4 wheel drive in this truck is awesome, would make a great off roading truck or winter vehicle.
Good:
- Clear title in my name, in hand.
- 3.9 V6 runs perfect. Always starts, does not burn or leak anything.
- Transmission shifts fine, no noises.
- Original clutch does not slip.
- 4x4 works perfect in both high and low.
- Aftermarket (Alpine) speakers and is wired for a Pioneer head unit.
- Always maintained
- Have a lot of original documentation and a couple extra keys.
Bad:
- Needs the following to pass inspection: Complete front brakes, tires, parking brake cable, rear passenger reverse light.
- Rot under both rocker panels, behind each fender flare, tail gate, etc.
- Clear is peeling on hood and roof.
- The exhaust is original and could use a muffler.
$975 or reasonable offer. The ONLY thing I might trade for is a quad, preferably a 2000 or newer Honda 400ex, I would be wiling to do trade + cash for one.
